Viennese hospitality is the top priority in our family. Our place is small but nice, and every guest feels welcome. You might think you’re at home in your own living room. With 35 seats that the restaurant has to offer, it is also available for celebrations such as birthdays, baptisms, or company celebrations. The restaurant is run as a non-smoking establishment.
Rado’s Gastwirtschaft has been the oldest restaurant in Vienna’s 9th district since 1904. The Rado family, starting with patron Rado Vladan Radovanovic, has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. His son Marko Rado Radovanovic attended the renowned hotel management school on Judenplatz. With the experience he gained in Switzerland and Germany, he is following in his father’s footsteps. Classic, Viennese, rustic. Rarely can you get all of it anywhere in Vienna like you can in the restaurant of the Rado family. The restaurant is known for the best spareribs, the crispy knuckle of pork and the Wiener Schnitzel. The cozy garden in the pedestrian zone behind the landmark-protected market hall is the guest garden in summer. Like Wiener Schnitzel, a well-tended Ottakringer in a pre-cooled clay jug is part of the Viennese hospitality.
