The real Wiener Schnitzel is traditionally made from thinly pounded veal, breaded and fried in clarified butter until golden brown. The result: crispy on the outside, tender as butter on the inside. Served with a slice of lemon, cranberries and a potato salad, it is an absolute classic that should not be missing from any menu.
Pork schnitzel – a hearty alternative with tradition
If you prefer a stronger taste, opt for the pork schnitzel. It is just as crispy as the original, but a little heartier. In Germany in particular, it is known as “Schnitzel Wiener Art” and offers a cheaper yet tasty alternative to veal schnitzel.
